Farmer Copleys has an impressive array of awards, including Best Farm Shop in the UK. It's good, but is it the best? In my opinion, no. It's very good but it would not be my first choice.I'd certainly recommend a visit. The meat is very good and the whole package of the Farm Shop is interesting. The Car Park looks onto fields where you can see sheep, goats & etc. and you can visit with the hens. You can also visit with the cows in the barn, and calfs if you are lucky. A neat touch is some toy tractors and the like for the kiddies to play on - I'm not allowed because I'm too big! There's a florist here too, but I don't know if that has anything to do with the Farm Shop - and it's expensive.Just outside is the fruit and veg which is nicely presented.I once called in to find a Fish Van there too. It was supposed to be regular but I haven't caught it since, but then I call in haphazardly.Inside, I always feel claustrophobic; they seem to have crammed so much in and it's hard to browse. If it's busy you have no chance. I have come away frustrated more than once. I find the butchers area too small, when you're queueing there's no space to have a good look at what they've got so unless you know what you want it always feels a bit of a rush when you get served.Upstairs they sell kitchen stuff, all good stuff, no bargain finds there. I do like the cards they have, which are a bit different. They lose points for having sweeties and stuff by the Tills, just like a supermarket.I have no complaints about their products, it's good stuff and tastes great but I don't find it a pleasant shopping experience. If the car park is busy when I get there, I don't stay.
