  I couldn't believe the previous review - it must be really old. The restaurant is stylish, the food is delicious and the staff couldn't do enough for us. It was a real treat, and excellent value for money. I have been back several times and would not hesitate to recommend Saffron.

• Food so-so - waiter an Idiot

  Want to meet a waiter who must be during the daytime a practising idiot? Then go to Saffron, Bradford Road, batley, and get served by Faisal...can't miss him he's tall, skinny, glasses and is very 'female'.The food is pleasant and fresh, although my criticism would be that they use too many spices when a few would have been suffice.But the waiter was a 1st class buffoon, all touchy-feely to men and long-stares direct into your eyes. He even stood in a corner, and when we looked across [like you do] in his direction, he would do tiny waves to you.After our starter, he took away a half-a-pint of lager and left the plates. And then tried moving the plates to one corner of the table, and attempted to put the curries on the table....DUHHe came across during our meal, and started telling us about his studies in Bradford, asking where we worked and if there were any jobs going.The curry was spoiled by this very forward, effeminate and pushy waiter.We didn't make a complaint about him, as the best way to punish such behavoir is to not go back again.
