Comfortable contact lenses
I've finally been fitted with some contact lenses that don't irritate my eyes. This has really improved my quality of life. I go for regular check ups and have had sound advice on how to deal with dry eyes.

Definitely no complaints
No hidden extra costs. Good range of glasses which worked out cheaper than the nationals. Really thorough eyetest as well

Detected diabetes
I was unaware that I had a problem and Barbara Watson referred me to my GP after my eye test. He diagnosed that I had diabetes but it had been detected at an early stage and would respond well to treatment. I now advise everybody to have their eyes checked regularly and recommend Barbara Watson to my family and friends

Excellent Service and Value
I have worn spectacles for over forty years and have used many opticians both from large chains and private practices. I can honestly say that for sheer professionalism and value for money this is the best I have encountered. There are no ripoff hidden charges and both Barbara Watson and her staff bend over backwards to be helpful, even though they are frequently and deservedly very busy. Only recently I had occasion to take in my son's spectacles for an emergency repair and they were fixed on the spot , even though the staff were clearly at full stretch. My whole family wear spectacles and we are all more than happy to have Barbara Watson Eyecare as our family optician.

Great for kids
My children both have to wear glasses and I have always gone to one of the big chains who advertise that kids go free........I should have gone to Barbara Watson Eyecare. Kids are free here also and there is a wide choice covered by the NHS voucher. We weren't happy with my son's last pair of glasses from our previous Optician and Barbara carried out a really thorough eye test. Although she got different results she didn't criticise the others and explained that there could be variations, especially when dealing with children. The staff then helped us choose some trendy frames and the kids got a gift as well.

First rate Optician for all the family!
I have been a patient of Barbara Watson for many years and have been delighted to recommend many of my friends and family who have also become clients. My experience of other Opticians has been a quick sight test followed by hard sell to make me spend more than I intended. Barbara carries out a thorough eye examination and takes great trouble to ensure that I select the best frames and lenses for my requirements and the prices charged always seem reasonable compared to others.
